Hike to the Siegesturm & Cozy Stop

Are you new to Bayreuth and want to meet new people while exploring the region? Join us for a lovely hike to the Siegesturm – a wonderful experience for everyone who is curious and eager to discover the surroundings!

Meeting Point:   At the Bürgerreuth, above the Bayreuther Festspielhaus

What to Expect:

Route: We will start at the Bürgerreuth, located above the Festspielhaus, which is easily accessible by public transport (Line 305 Hohe Warte) or by car. From there, we will hike north out of the city through the cool mixed forest. After a short climb, we will reach our first destination: the Siegesturm. This 17-meter-high tower, built in 1872 and accessible via 97 steps, offers a fantastic view over Bayreuth, the Fichtel Mountains, and Franconian Switzerland. After enjoying the panoramic view, we will continue our walk through the forest towards Morethsgut.

Cozy Stop: At our destination, the Gasthof Kolb, we will enjoy a cozy stay in a traditional beer garden. Here, you can enjoy franconian specialties and Bayreuth beer – the perfect way to relax and end the day. Feel free to take a look at the menu in advance.
