Are you new to Bayreuth and want to get to know new people and the region? Then come with us to the Fichtelgebirge! Discover and experience our local wildlife on the circular route through the animal outdoor area at Waldhaus Mehlmeisel.
We´ll start the day with you at a rustic restaurant nearby, where we can get to know each other in a relaxed manner as a group. Well fortified, we then head to the wildlife park, where lynxes, raccoons, badgers and many other animal species are waiting for us. We take part in a guided tour together, during which the animals are also fed.
If you don’t have a car – no problem. We offer free ride sharing for 6 people.
We are looking forward to the day with you, your family, friends or colleagues and your binding registration.

Meeting point for a ride: Tourist Information, Opernstraße 22, 95444 Bayreuth Tourist-Info
Timing: 11:00 a.m. to approx. 5:00 p.m. (For self-drivers: 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
- 12.00 p.m. Retreat (inn to be announced)
- 1:45 p.m. Meeting point at the wildlife park entrance
- 2 p.m. Guided tour with feeding
Costs: As a new citizen you receive a 50% discount on regular admission
- Adults: 3.50 euros (normal price 7 euros)
- Families (2 adults + own children (3 – 13 years): 8 euros (normal price 16 euros)
- Children up to 3 years free
Number of participants: Tour takes place with a minimum of 5 people.
Children are also very welcome
